Naturally Plus looks to Sydney to reward, motivate and inspire

Sydney is set to welcome over 1,700 of Naturally Plus’ highest performers from today for the global direct selling healthcare company’s Leadership Invitational.

Worth A$6.8 million in direct expenditure for the New South Wales (NSW) economy, the four-day Japanese incentive trip will include a conference inside one of Sydney’s greatest icons. Naturally Plus secured the World Heritage-listed Sydney Opera House for their gala event – a main contributor to the company’s decision to choose Sydney above all other cities to reward, motivate and inspire their top sales people.

“To meet in one of the world’s most iconic concert halls is certainly a highlight for our Naturally Plus Leadership Invitational,” said Naturally Plus President Mr Takaaki Nagoshi. “Sydney is one of the world’s greatest cities and the opportunity to bring our top distributors here was one not to be missed.”

The incentive has received high-level government support with the help of the city’s convention bureau, Business Events Sydney (BESydney). Councillor John Mant will welcome the international group on behalf of the City of Sydney on Sunday 15 November 2015 at the Sydney Opera House.

Naturally Plus’ annual incentive comes in a busy year for BESydney, which has welcomed a steady flow of Asian corporate business events. By the end of 2015, Sydney would have hosted 33 incentive events from Asia, attracting over 63,000 delegate days and generating $63.9 million in direct expenditure for the State. With the short-lead nature of this market, the bureau is expecting this number to rise by year’s end.

This is the second Japanese incentive to visit Sydney this year, preceded by the Suzuki Japan Annual Incentive in May, which delivered 5,250 delegates days and $5.2 million in direct expenditure to the NSW economy.

And, the future of Japanese travel to Sydney looks set to soar with new flight routes between Tokyo and Sydney due to commence in December this year. The latest Australian Bureau of Statistics data shows the number of Japanese visitors climbed 18 per cent in September 2015, compared to the same time last year, ahead of All Nippon Airways officially operating its new schedule later in the year.

Japan is now Australia’s seventh-largest tourism market and NSW is home to more Japanese-born citizens than anywhere else in Australia.

Established in 1999 in Tokyo, Naturally Plus became the fifth-largest multi-level marketing company in Japan by 2005, with membership reaching over one million.  It now sells its healthcare products in more than 150 countries worldwide.

Whilst in NSW, the 1,700 delegates – coming from Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, the USA, Philippines, Vietnam and Brunei– will enjoy an exciting program that includes a trip to the Blue Mountains National Park, Featherdale Wildlife Park to meet some of the country’s cutest fauna, the Hunter Valley wine region, and the coastline of Port Stephens.

In Sydney, highlights include delegates climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge and taking in the stunning views of the world’s largest natural harbour on a Captain Cook lunch cruise.
