Hunter and Newcastle

The Hunter Valley is Australia’s oldest and one of its most well-known wine regions. Home to more than 120 wineries, the region is particularly famous for its Hunter Semillon and Hunter Shiraz. Add to this a wide array of regional produce such as cheeses, olive oil and olives and the innovative yet distinctly Australian cuisine of the many restaurants nestled amongst the vineyards, and you have a decidedly relaxing and very attractive conference destination.

The Hunter Valley is also experienced at producing sensational events throughout the year which celebrate food and wine as well as music concerts held in the vineyards. All these attractions are complemented by beautiful and unique accommodation, and conference venues that reflect both the contemporary and historic attributes of the region.

The city of Newcastle, which is perched between a working harbour and a string of Pacific blue beaches, is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city. The emerging food scene here is evident in the great restaurants, bars and outdoor cafés around the city. The city has a great choice of conference hotels and meeting facilities.

Getting there
