The Hunter Valley is Australia’s oldest wine region. Home to over 120 wineries, add to this a wide array of regional produce such as cheeses, olive oil and olives and the innovative yet distinctly Australian cuisine of the many restaurants nestled amongst the vineyards, and you have a decidedly relaxing and very attractive conference destination.
Similarly, the city of Newcastle is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city. The emerging food scene is evident in the great restaurants, bars and outdoor cafés. The city has a great choice of conference hotels and meeting facilities.
Port Stephens, an easy two and a half hour drive north of Sydney, is known for its nature and abundance of aquatic and land activities, its uncrowded sandy beaches, sheltered bays and unspoilt national parks.
Experience the excellent surf beaches or explore the majestic and almost surreal sand dunes of Stockton Beach. Tomaree National Park, a 20km strip of scenic, rocky coastline between Anna Bay and Shoal Bay, is just one of the many places around Port Stephens where you can take an easy bush walk with ample spots for a swim, snorkel, kayak, surf, or picnic.
Port Stephens offers unparalleled scenic beauty with multi-award winning resorts and hotels with first class conference and meeting facilities. The region is also known for its beach culture with an extensive range of water based activities that are perfect for team-building, you might even see a dolphin or two.
The region is experienced at producing events throughout the year celebrating food and music concerts in the vineyards. These are complemented by beautiful and unique accommodation and conference venues that reflect the contemporary and historic attributes of the region.
