Blue Mountains

A true lover of the Blue Mountains once summed up the area as being "like a summer's day served on ice”. One of Australia’s natural wonders, the Blue Mountains stretch for over one million hectares in an ecological mix of rainforest, canyons, tall forests and heathlands. This stunning landscape is dotted with a string of picturesque townships steeped in history and cultural pursuits, creating a refreshing environment in which to hold a conference or company event.

There are bushwalks for every fitness level from the casual stroller to the dedicated hiker and the balmy summer climate encourages outdoor activities. If bushwalking doesn’t appeal, try a round of golf at one of the six courses in the area. During winter there are numerous Yulefest celebrations, a festive tradition of fine food and entertainment in a cosy, friendly atmosphere.

This region prides itself on its creative use of local produce and you will find a range of fine fare in the numerous bakeries, speciality gourmet shops, cafes and fine dining restaurants. Post-conference there are plenty of relaxation opportunities from browsing the local antique shops, gazing at the amazing views from several lookouts or spending a few hours in a luxurious day spa.

Getting there

From Sydney, it is approximately a 90 minute drive to Leura and Katoomba and a further 10-15 minutes to Blackheath and Mount Victoria.
