Business Events Sydney (BESydney) partners with close to 100 associations every year to bid to bring their international meetings, conferences and events to Sydney and New South Wales. And when we bid for an event, success does not come as a surprise.
Before any congress, conference, convention, exhibition or event, several cities generally submit ‘bids’ to win the right to host the business event or meeting. A successful bid needs to be carefully put together: it can take months or even years, and requires considerable professionalism and team work.
We are Sydney conference bidding and event bidding partners with local association or company representatives, industry bodies, government departments and other key groups and organisations to ensure that the best event bid is put forward.
During the bid process, it's our goal to demonstrate why Sydney is the best place to hold an event. We need to 'sell' Sydney in terms of our infrastructure, our venues, our accommodation, our activities, our climate and our people.
We will demonstrate that Sydney is able to meet – and exceed – the conference organiser’s and international organisation’s every need and desire. We also work with the local host (or ‘bid leader’) to showcase the strength of Australia in a given field.
