Shu Ping Chen
Business Development Manager, North Asia
Shu Ping joins Business Events Sydney (BESydney) as the Business Development Manager, based in our new Shanghai office.
As Asia is a key growth area for Sydney where strong interest has been seen for outbound corporate incentive groups, Shu Ping plays a prominent role in expanding BESydney’s sales and marketing reach in China. She is responsible for developing relationships with key corporate clients from the priority sectors.
Shu Ping boasts an impressive background, with over 10 years working in the tourism industry. She has strong knowledge of the Australian tourism product from her past roles, where she has attained the Aussie Specialist Certification awarded by Tourism Australia.
Her most recent position was as Business Development Manager with Experience Tours Australia, a division of the Australian Outbound Travel (AOT) group, where she was responsible for the Singapore and Vietnam markets.
Shu Ping’s interest for event tourism started when she discovered the challenging and exciting nature of the industry. Her passion for travel and experience the world led her to choose tourism management, where she completed in Diploma in Tourism Management and Bachelor in Business Management.
Through her sound knowledge and experience within the industry Shu Ping proves that she is a valuable asset to the BESydney team.
