Charlotte brings a fresh, innovative perspective to the Business Events Sydney (BESydney) team.
In 2004, she completed a Bachelor of Education - Primary at the University of Western Sydney, and then went on to teach for 18 months. Although enjoying working with children and seeing how their young minds develop, Charlotte felt she needed to broaden her horizons.
Seeking a new challenge she completed an Advanced Diploma in Marketing at the Australian Careers Business College (ACBC) in 2008, graduating as Dux of her class and Student of the Year at the College.
Whilst attending ACBC, Charlotte worked at BESydney as the digital marketing student, learning the ins and outs of marketing within the tourism industry. Her hard work and determination to succeed saw her being offered a permanent position and today she is the Digital Marketing Executive.
Charlotte looks after all things digital, from the BESydney website to email marketing, newsletters and digital communications as well as the social media strategy.
Charlotte enjoys travelling the world and has worked in several countries including the United Kingdom, parts of Europe and the Caribbean. She has also been to many parts of Australia. These travelling and work experiences have given her local and international knowledge and insights that have significantly helped in her tourism marketing role.
Charlotte developed her taste for events through her involvement with the Shoalhaven Melanoma Committee, which organises themed events such as balls, lunches, and raffles to raise money for the Melanoma Institute Australia in North Sydney. So far the committee has raised over $200,000.
Charlotte’s passion and appreciation for travelling, alongside her marketing abilities and taste for events is bringing added strengths to complement the team at BESydney.
