Business Events Sydney (BESydney) is pleased to have the following leading business events organisations, Sydney event companies and peak industry bodies as our major partners.
Events New South Wales aims to bring major events to Sydney and NSW. It works beside government and industry partners to attract new events to the State, and maximise the economic, strategic and community benefits of those events.
Tourism New South Wales (TNSW) aims to promote and support the development of NSW tourism destinations. It is the NSW Government’s 'tourism expert', marketing the State and consulting to its regions on tourism development and sustainable growth.
Business Events Australia (BEA) is a business unit within Tourism Australia, charged with promoting and marketing Australia as a desirable business events destination. Business Events Australia and BESydney are separate entities, but the two naturally work quite closely together to achieve their goals.
The Association of Australian Convention Bureaux (AACB) consists of 14 city and regional bureaus, each dedicated to marketing their specific region as a premier business events destination to local, interstate and international markets, while also promoting Australia as a whole.
The Business Events Council of Australia is the peak industry body representing the nation’s meetings, conventions, incentives and exhibition sector. It develops industry positions on issues of common interest, and communicates them to government and relevant agencies.
The NSW Government Industry and Investment is the NSW Government's business development agency. It helps businesses start and expand in NSW, and supports the State’s tourism industry to improve competitiveness and promote growth.
The Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) is the peak industry body for the nation's tourism export sector. It aims to improve business relationships for its members and further the issues important to the tourism export sector among key government and business leaders.
The City of Sydney is Sydney’s capital city council and is responsible for the commercial, financial and cultural hub of the greater Sydney area. The city community includes around 150,000 residents, 350,000 workers and more than 450,000 daily visitors.
Conventions Australia is a partnership of Australia’s leading convention centres and bureaus that are active in the international market, especially with international association conventions. The partners have a common objective of bringing major events to Australia.
Qantas is the oldest airline in Australia and the second oldest in the world. Today, it is one of the world’s leading passenger airlines, flying to 140 destinations in 37 countries: 57 in Australia and another 83 destinations in Asia, the Pacific, the Americas, Europe and Africa.
Sydney Airport is Australia’s busiest airport, and one of the oldest continuously operating airports in the world. It transports close to 30 million passengers a year - a third of them international - and generates around AU$6.6 billion in economic benefits to NSW.
The Sydney Business Chamber is more than 175 years old. It is the peak industry body in Sydney, and draws its membership from major corporations across the greater Sydney region. It provides businesses with support and a voice at all levels of government.
The Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour is Australia’s biggest venue for conferences, exhibitions and special events. The Centre’s space includes 30 meeting rooms, a ballroom for 1,000 guests and more than 30,000 square metres of exhibition space.
The Tourism and Transport Forum (TTF) is the peak industry group for the Australian tourism, transport, aviation and investment sectors. The Tourism and Transport Forum advocates the public policy interests of the 200 most prestigious corporations and institutions in these sectors.
Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority (SHFA) is responsible for Sydney’s waterfront locations, and is responsible for preserving heritage areas, hosting events, and managing properties. It owns more than 400 hectares of Sydney land, including The Rocks and Darling Harbour precincts.
