On Wednesday 1 February, Merivale hosted its first Corporate Open Day of 2012, showcasing Sydney’s iconic specialty venues at Establishment, including Main Bar, Ballroom and Room I, II and III; and Ivy, including Penthouse, the Ivy Room and the Sun Room.
Over 350 event planners joined the tours, led by the sales and events team, to view Merivale’s event spaces and experienced the quality food, beverage and service on offer. Guests were treated to BBQ canapés and a paella station, followed by afternoon tea delights.
That evening, a further 250 qualified buyers joined the Merivale team for a three-course dinner in the Ivy Room. Australia’s Got Talent singing sensation, Jack Vidgen, entertained guests. The dinner was prepared by Executive Chef of Events, David O’Brien, and featured citrus-cured ocean trout and grilled sea scallops to start, 18 hour slow-cooked lamb and roast chicken for mains and rich chocolate cake with figs and cherries to finish.
