The exciting new state-of-the-art entertainment, theatre and event precinct, The Concourse, Chatswood has opened its doors to the public. The Business Events Sydney (BESydney) team recently paid a visit to experience the new venue firsthand.

Event organisers will be glad to hear that The Concourse incorporates a variety of contemporary conference and meeting spaces. The Concert Hall can seat over 1,000 people with 114 seats in the choir stalls, and is given a regal feel with polished Blackbutt hardwood floors and American Rock Maple wood wall panelling. As James Stavrou, Business Development Manager, BESydney comments “The finishes in the Concert Hall are done to a very high standard and the acoustics are amazing".

The Civic Pavilion is a flexible venue within the precinct and is perfect for conferences, banquets and expos, with a capacity of up to 800 cocktail and 430 banquet. With a foyer that can be used for breakouts or pre-dinner drinks, no pillars and natural light, the team was thrilled to see the space is perfect for a day or night event — just the diversity our clients are after.

In addition to the unique mix of venues on offer in the precinct, you’ll also find the Chatswood Library, two open grassed spaces, restaurants and cafes all in the heart of Chatswood. The Concourse is just 25 minutes from Sydney’s CBD and easily accessible by public transport. "Given we are in the digital age, I was amazed to hear that the Library at The Concourse had over 6,000 books borrowed on the opening weekend" said Charlotte Stasiukynas, Digital Marketing Executive, BESydney.

AccessNSW testimonial

Nikki Kelsall from Talent2 is a repeat user of the "unreal" AccessNSW service and is still as impressed with the service second time around as she was the first time.

"This was the second time I have contacted the team at AccessNSW to assist with my event. The team sourced all the proposals for my conference and set up site inspections from shortlisted venues. They were there from start to finish and I strongly recommend contacting James and the team to help out with your event requirements.

"I would absolutely recommend this service to anyone and everyone. The AccessNSW team is unreal."
